I have a Worcester Greenstar Ri gas boiler, with a Honeywell ST9400C timer and a Honeywell HCW80 thermostat.

For heating up the water during the summer it works fine, however around 2 months the weather turned very cold the heating wasn't coming on, only the hot water was working. I tried changing the batteries in the thermostat but that didn't help.

But then I noticed, that when I repeatedly pressed the small button inside the thermostat the boiler would start heating up the radiators, but when the room temperature reached the level set on the thermostat (21^C) they wouldn't continue to hold that temperature and go cold, as the boiler wouldn't start up as expected.

I had to keep repeatedly pressing the small button inside the thermostat every time I needed the heating on.

After about six weeks of doing this, the small red light on the thermostat eventually stopped flashing, and the radiators stopped heating up.

I bought a new HCW80 thermostat but I think it may need some kind of pairing with the timer and/or boiler.

I would appreciate some advice on how I can get these parts to work together, as the boiler heats the water nicely, but not the radiators.

Thanks!
