Hi, I am considering having the above boiler installed in a bedroom cupboard. The cupboard is large enough for the boiler and the required clearances and would leave ample space for shelving for airing or storage. However in the 'online ' manual the following is stated;

"If fitting the boiler into an airing cupboard use a non-combustible material to separate the boiler from the airing space.
The material can be perforated up to a maximum hole size of 13mm"

Can you advise please what this would consist of in terms of what the non combustible material would be and any framing etc which would be required.
many thank in advance

It can be chicken wire type mesh. The idea is to separate combustibles from touching the boiler casing.

If the Vaillant had the old style gasket this would be particularly important (those in the trade will know what I am referring to)!
