Worcester Greenstar

Hi,
I have a Worcester Greenstar boiler and the blue light is flashing also the green light under the on off is off.Have tried turning temp. control to reset numerous times but the boiler won't fire up. Is there anything else I can try as the engineers that I have breakdown cover can't come until Friday and we've had no heating since Saturday.

all you can do is check pressure gauge at the boiler,check gas meter on? your boiler cover is terrible

The light should be flashing in a sequence which should point to the fault, but there's not a lot you can do as you need to be Gas Safe Registered to remove the cover on these boilers. Time to ditch your boiler breakdown cover and put the money into a bank account for a friendly local engineer instead

Should try keeping a professional relationship with a gas engineer as you now know they are valuable when you need them, preferably who does plumbing and fault finding and apply lots of tea and biscuits oh and of course don't winge about the the money your handing over
