my boiler all seems ok. i drained air out of cyclinder and the bath tap now runs warm but hisses when turned on but there is no indication from the boiler of any fault

fraid u ave messed up.that red thing needs to contain air at about 14ibs or 1 bar. u can pump it up with a foot pump

I'm with you chr15

That is not a cylinder :!: That is the expansion vessel, a major component of the combi boiler. This must have air in it to work. It should be pressurised to about 1 bar

No wonder you have problems

that was probably something simple like the diaphragm gone. unfortunately though with worcester this is not a simple repair

oh good your just filling my day with joy right now. in your opinion is it worth fixing my boiler or should i consider replacing it with new one? i have no idea how old this boiler is

Only you can decide this one after getting quotes for repair and replacement. You will have to get a couple of fitters in for a price and ask their opinion. We cannot see what the rest of the boiler condition is like :?

any ideas how old this thing could be. i know its a least 7 years old. but it was here when i moved in so i aint got a clue. i think ill stick to fixing cars
