working with worktop upstands (mitres)

hi
i have to fit some melemine upstands on to our new worktops Ihave a few internals and a couple of externals that i know are not nob on square whats the best way to get my mitres right i have a mitre saw . Also when i join them on a long run , am i best joining square or chop them at 45deg

ps reckon silicone is best to stick them onto plasterboard backs

Trend make a tool called an Anglefix mitre guide which will sort out your mitre angles. 45 degrees on your joins and silicon, gripfill, pinkgrip, whatever to fix to walls. Use Mitremate on the mitres.
