I have just done a kitchen and utility where the worktop joint was out of square by 10mm(U shaped kitchen)
I had a successful joint on both counts, after cutting both joints (male & female) 5mm off the original Jig.
It is possible to do almost anything regarding this subject but be sure to sit down and think through what it will mean to other things if the joint is cut out of square.
