My worktops are square-edged. Do I need to use a worktop jig to cut a mitred joint or can I simply butt-joint them using biscuits, bolts and adhesive?

Braz - worktop jig not essential for your square-edged stuff. Butt, glue (waterproof PVA), biscuits, bolts to join.
