Hi,
I have a Worcester 24 cdi that's giving some problem. The radiator works, but not hot enough. The hot water does not work at all , no matter how much we run it. Initially we had a luke warm water for few minutes then it cuts out and the water goes cold.

Does anybody know what could be the problem?

Help anybody!!!!!

Betcha it's full of sludge (especially in water / water heat exchanger) because the system was not flushed properly at installation and / or has been operated with no corrosion inhibitor in the CH water.

Poor maintenance = short boiler life and big repair bills.

Easy to say with 20/20 hindsight but it's unfortunately also the truth.

Yes, sounds like you need a competant heating engineer (not a bloke from down the pub) to check the quality of the system water. The plate heat exchanger could be clogged up and not allowing any heat to pass to the DHW.

On boilers like the 24CDI and most newer condensing models there is little advice that can be given to a DIY-er as they're laden with technology that should not be touched by anyone other than professionals.
