    slightly off topic:

    it is true to say that your sense of smell is the most profound way of evoking a memory or two.

    one simply cannot help but reminisce when alerted by a whiff of perfume or by the smell of cooking.

    i always get a deep down warm glow in the depths of my bowels when our real Christmas tree goes up. i can always relate to that pine smell. :)

    Years ago I travelled up in a lift with Roy Wood at the Beeb he was dressed in a suit, tie and was carrying an old fashioned round topped briefcase, looked strange with loads of frizzy hair sticking out, wearing rose tinted round john lennon type NHS specs and no make up. :)
