Well, bucks most southern part borders greater London, so we like to think ourselves South Eastern, unlike you on the south coast who are nearer to France than London. Foreigners, the lot of you.

Very often it is melted and gone with a day*

At 6:50 this morning at my house there was around 8inches of snow and it was snowing heavily so i went back to bed assuming a 'free' day off work. Got up at 9am, it was raining heavily and the snow has turned to slush. Roads were clear and so i've dragged myself to the office. Can't remember the last time it snowed heavily and it stayed around for a few days - i was probably still at school though!

The only wrong snow is yellow snow, don't eat it!

I don't know if it was the most recent, but in 1986 there was a spring snowfall and it didn't melt for several weeks.
