This car came with a remote locking key unit but long since stopped working.

Nor does any lock activate the remote lock or unlock on the other doors.

The passenger door solenoid is always powered and flattens the battery after 2-3 days.

I can de-energise the solenoid by removing Fuse 30. But this also disables the engine.

Presumably the locking device also inhibits the engine.

Does anyone know where the locking control unit lives?

OK well that might help ?

Does anyone know how to remove the glove box to get proper access to the fuses?

Still not found the door lock control box under Facia 2 !

Discovered two annoying things though!

When I operate the starter motor, at the same time it UNLOCKS the boot lock! Not what I want so I removed the actuator. Any suggestions of a fault that could cause that?

Its made by Valeo and is motor driven with two wires. There are no limit switches!

I can only assume it is sent a short pulse and reverses the polarity to give open/close.

Now the front passenger door lock/unlock ( motor like the others? ) is permanently powered via Fuse 30 which is also needed to be present to allow the engine to run. Doorlock control box fault ??? Pity I cannot find it! The motor is probably jammed as it dose not do any locking or locking even though the motor is powered!
