I have a 1999 3 litre S type Jaguar and yesterday I noticed that I could not get out of the car, because the central locking activates when you select drive,as the drivers door lock would not unlock.
After playing about I have found that if you lock the car using the remote it unlocks again by itself almost immeadiatley. Likewise if you lock the car using the key you can not unlock it using the remote or vice versa.
Now if you are in the car you can activate the locking by the drivers door and it locks and unlocks all the doors fine??
Do you recon the remote battery is low and causing some issues??
