am getting a bit of kettling on my boiler and have been told to get it flushed. do either of these products work sufficiently well?

X200 is for scale and 800 for sludge, as a rule kettling is scale so I would try X200 first. It may take several weeks to work but the nice thing is you just leave it in there. If the problem persists use 800 but that needs flushing repeatedly afterwards.

X200 is a good product but often you think it is not working then suddenly realise it's gone quiet

Edit sorry Made a typo with X100 now rectified hope it didn't cause confusion

Stick x200 in it that should quieten it down but dont just dump it into header tank make sure it gets into system

but X200 you leave in, and X800/X400 you drain out after cleaning.

If it is an old vented system, it would most likely benefit from a clean with X800 or X400, then a flush out, and add X200 and X100 on final refill.

Knowing the boiler model would better enable us to assess your needs
