Hi,

So drained the system from drain port near front door to change and move one radiator. Refilled via the tank in loft (adding inhibitor), bled radiators, did purge program on boiler (Vaillant Ecotec plu 418) all radiators except one are heating up ( worked before draining ) Its a downstairs column radiator but think its plumbed in to upstairs (its in extension). I closed all other radiators and it gets hot. Open the others up and its cold again. Does sound like air is still in the system, but nothing comes out when bleeding rads. Any ideas, before I give in and call someone in. Thanks in advance

Yes, could be tapped air. Try closing off any trv’s to force it round.

yep tried closing the rest off, and the radiator ion question gets hot. Bleed them all, nothing really comes out. Open the rest of the trvs and its back to being a cold radiator.

Has this actual radiator worked OK before? Might the flow and return to the radiator have been swapped in the move?

Maybe also look at the balancing of the system

Might have upset the balance of the system. Didn’t you count the number of turns on the lockshield valve whilst turning it off?

Yes this radiator worked before, the moved one was a different rad. Thinking it has to be air / balancing thing

Possibly, put it back as one turn as per the one i took off
