Easy this one.

You haven't identified your door contact as an entry device.

On the panel

Press PR
then enter your code and then press the tick button

You will now be in the menu system

Scroll down untill you have the cursor next to the 'devices' option

Then select 'edit device'

You will then have a list of all the enrolled sensors in the system.

Go down this list untill the cursor is next to your entry device.

That may be DC 01 or DC 02 depending on where you put them as you fitted them.

Whichever is your entry door select it and you will be given the following options

Burglar
omit
entry
24hr

put the cursor next to the entry option and press the tick button

You have now set your entry device and it will obey the entry exit times.

You can now continue to name the device if you wish following the instructions or you can simply use the top grey backspace button pressed repeatedely to exit the menus and go back to standby mode. (Alarm off)

oh dear, that wasnt very well explained in the simple set up manual! thanks alot for that, can sleep safe tonight now,
cheers john!

No probs. Cheers for the thanks.

Yes you are correct. While the manual explains how to enrol the sensors and how to edit the devices individual parameters it doesn't actually make it clear in a chronological way that you must edit the devices after the quick set up has been completed. As you say by telling you it has a default entry time you assume everything must be preset but unfortunately it isn't and all the setting for entry/exit and home omit must be completed before the alarm is ready to use.
