Yay - noisy central heating

I can't help noticing that it's actually below the level of the top of the cylinder which makes me wonder how much use it really is.
I noticed that. There also seems to be an air separator to the right of the pump, but unfortunately it is obscured by the slatted shelving (hint :wink: ).
Some people are never satisfied :)

Pipe out of top of cylinder:

Goes up to vent over cold water tank and down is to hot taps. The unpainted copper pipe tees off and goes back into loft to feed two power showers.

I think that lifting the vent pipe cured it. Famous last words o'course but it was a cold morning this morning and it was fine. The usual creaks and knocks but no bubbling water.
