Hi All,

About 10 years ago we had a small leak from our loft which caused water to come through the ceiling in our bedroom. The stains aren't terrible or large but as I'm decorating the house wanted to repaint the ceiling. I'm put two coats (so far) or BIN Aqua but still the yellow stains comes through. Do I need to use the shellac based one instead?

Cheers
Daz

Whatever paint you use look at the data sheet.
It's says on there.
Touch Dry: 25 mins
Recoat: 45 mins
Full Cure: 7 days.

So they are saying leave 7 days before you you coat emulsion over.
If you want to put 2 coats of Aqua BIN on then recoat time is 45mins

Re stains.Data sheet reads...
When sealing water
stains, some stains may appear in the primer as it dries,
this is normal. Stains will be locked into the primer film and
will not bleed into the topcoat.
