My Zafira is blowing very hot air into the car, the outside temp reading is also reading higher than the it should. Engine not hot, no overheating smells coming from it and the water and oil are fine. What is causing this problem.

Id guess that the air flaps, that direct either air throughh the heater matrix or bypass it are stuck in the hot position.
I cant see any connection between that and the external temperature sensor though!

I would concur with John. If it does it when the engine is completely cold and its fitted with an electric auxiliary heater as most PSA cars seem to be, could be that's stuck on, although I have never heard of that happening.
