Zannusi Compact Dishwasher DCS12W

Lincsbodger

Suddenly stooped working.

Goes through cycle ok, fills, heats water, sprays it all around. Whenever it gets to the point where it has to empty the machine it pumps all the water out ok, but then sits there, sucking at air (scavenging). I know in washing machines theres a barometric switch to tell when the machine has water in, there must be something similar here, thats telling the machine to keep pumping.

Any ideas?

yes.......easy one....

Common fault.

Just squeeze the triangular torpedo valve, whilst the machine is in operation.
Then free the non-detectable rubber grommet from its housing ....and re-seat. Always ensuring your wearing rubber gloves preferably pink..........

But if you have to twist the acker-macker valve they have to be yellow Marigolds so the light reflects off them and illuminates the said valve.
