:( Can anyone help my machine has been playing up lately (stopping mid- cycle and beeping )and I had to move the programme on myself lots of time.

However I couldn't clear it yesterday and LED lights 3,4,7 & 8 are flashing and nothing I do will make it spin or rinse.

The fluff filter is also very soapy on inspection.

I would be very grateful if any one can give me some ideas of what I could try to do as this site was very helpful last year when my daughter had problems with her machine.
Fingers crossed and thanks to anyone for reading this.

Lynne

From the data you posted the washer is fairly old (looks to have been produced in 2002). Before doing anything else I would get the motor brushes checked, this is a very common issue. To get at the motor the lid has to be taken off & the rear half of the outer casing removed. It is very easy to do. Couple of screws each side at the cross member under the lid, 2 or 3 screws at the lower rear, & 1 screw at each side (at the bottom behind a plastic plug). Then unlatch the plastic half moon where the inlet hose & mains cable enter. The entire rear half then slides back giving good access to most components.
Pull the mains plug, close the water supply & disconnect hoses first.....

Thanks Zipper that's really helpful we are going to tackle this now.

In your experience if it is the brushes that are worn out are they really expensive and is it a moderate DIy job.
Do you think it could B/E/Repair.

Thanks once again for your help you are a kind soul.

Zipper it means beyond economic repair B.e.r.

There you go...I learned something new today.....
"BE".....bloody expensive

:D Well that was an epic finished at 12.30 am! But very Lorea'l
(It means worth it Zipper} Sorry I only jest as I am so happy now.

Hubby said brush's and motor were fine. It needed a triple Bypass in the end.
However there was a horrible smell and he dis-connected all the black hoses and grey ones and every one was Rock solid with limescale.
We are in such a hard water area in Southampton.
When we started the machine up it dislodged more lime scale in the trap and caused a bit of a flood but have done 2 washes this morning and everythings great.
Everything is now clean and fresh.
Thanks once again for your help it made it so quick and simple with your instructions of how to get into the machine.
Lynne
P.S My husband has also recently had a triple heart bypass and now he blaming in on the hard water! ( LOL) But for sure it was the whiskey and cigs.
