Zanussi FL 1084 washing machine won't start cycle?

Hi,

I have a Zanussi FL 1084 washing machine that is selective as to when it will start a cycle. you can load it, set the dial and turn it on and... nothing. The door does not lock and the machine will just sit there. Sometimes it starts straight away but it can be 5 minutes, 24 hours or more till it starts. Can anyone suggest where i need to start looking at.

Thanks, that part got it running again.

Next problem: any idea why the water doesn't run down the powder dispenser? It just misses the edge of the drawer and goes straight into machine.

clean the roof of dispenser holes are blocked.
