Zanussi FLA1001 washing machine help

Hi
Our washing mach makes a very loud banging when spinning at high speed but not when slow, do you think this is the bearings, dampers or just a slipping belt, I have tne back off and there is a lot of black round the motor area although the belt is still intact?

If you take the dampers off it will be obvious if they are faulty or not, there should be a good resistance to opening & closing them.
