Hello,

My 14 year old ZWX1605 may need a new belt but I'm struggling to identify how to gain access.

You can take the top off and there is a small access point underneath but the back doesnt come off. Given that these new belts are a tight fit it sounds like an almost impossible job. I found a video on espares but on that machine there was an access hole at the back at the bottom where the motor spindle is. I can't see that on mine.

Thanks.

Richard

There should be a seam down the middle of the cabinet, if so the back half of the cabinet comes off.

Here is a side view, does the back half come away?

The rear half of that cabinet comes off.Take the lid off remove 4 screws 2 each side that go in to the rear half, prise out the plastic covers at the bottom of the cabinet then remove the two hidden screws. There will be probaly two further screws at the bottom back of the cabinet. You will need to prise up the curved plastic holder of the inlet valves from the cabinet then it will slide off backwards. It is slightly easier if the drain hose is lying flat on the floor.
The new belt will feel very tight but it is slightly elasticated and will go on with a bit of persuasion. Obviously unplug it first.
