Zanussi washing machine not working

Hi,

I have a Zanussi washing machine - an old one, which has just been plumbed in. When I try and run a wash the only one which seems to actually release any water to fill the machine is the pre-wash setting. All the others just sit there with the light on indicating that it's on, but they don't do anything.

We have had a problem with low pressure from the hot water. Could this be linked or is there likely a more simple answer?

Not being funny, but are the taps open?

Yep! I checked that twice, even after I had opened them. There is definitely water coming from both, but I think I'll double check the hot to see if there is a valve restricting the flow at all.
