HI CAN SOMEBODY HELP ME MY MACHINE WAS PLUMBED IN YESTERDAY AND WAS WORKING THE LIGHTS WERE ON START ETC. I THEN PUSHED IT BACK FURTHER TO PUT THE kitchen DOOR ON AND I HAVE TRIED TO START IT TODAY AND NO LIGHTS COME ON. I WOULD BE GRATEFUL IF SOMEONE COULD GIVE ME AN IDEA WITHOUT HAVING TO SPEND MORE MONEY. MANY THANKS

How are the electrics fitted?
Do you have a socket outlet behind the appliance?
I'd check that the plug has not been pulled out whilst moving the appliance, also if the socket outlet has a switch on it the flexy pipes for waste or water inlet may have pushed up against it and turned the socket off.
Also if you have a isolator/Switch fused connection unit, above the worktop check this is switched on and offering power to the socket. May need a fuse.
Other things that can effect performance are kinks in the pipes.

Hi Thanks very much I have tried the fuse and there is no a cut out.
Would a kinkmin the outlet pipe stop the light coming on as if there is no power

many thanks

no, plug into another socket see it that works if not time to look inside.

THIS WASHING MACHINE HAS BEEN REPLACED AND PLUMBED IN YESTERDAY, MY PREVIO U MACHINE DID THE SAME IT WORKED PERFECTLY THEN THE NEXT DAY NO LIGHT NO POWER. I WAS TOLD BY A LOCAL ENGINEER THAT IT WAS THE POWER MODULE, AND THAT HOTPOINTS WERE RUBBISH. THIS SEEMS TO BE THE SAME THING HAPPENING OVER AGAIN.

I AM GRATEFUL FOR YOUR ADVICE WHAT DO YOU THINK

its still under gtee call the manufacters see if they will exchange it .

Yes, If it's still under guarantee. Inform the place you bought it. Tell them this is the second time this has happened and your not happy about it.
You want to exchange it for another model, don't be taken in by them asking for more money for better model. Like for Like our upgrade for no more money for your troubles.

NO I BOUGHT IT OFF A FRIEND AND I KNOW IT WAS WORKING THEN SO NO GUARANTEE THANKS

have you tried another plug socket ,it may be faulty socket .plse turn caps lock its classed as SHOUTING,

sorry didn't realise. I tried the toaster in the socket it worked. thanks

Is the socket directly behind the machine? Is the back of the washer or any of the hoses likely to come into contact with the plugtop when pushed back? Seems strange to have the same fault on 2 machines, sounds more like the connections inside the socket being broken intermittently , possibly. Have you tried using an extension lead to connect to a completely different socket?

Thanks for your help am very grateful the problem was a wire had come out of the plug. Its nice t know that there are people like yourself willing to help others
