Dryer doesn't work - it doesn't get hot - and the drying time is curtailed.

Have cleaned the condenser; water is flowing into the condenser, the blower is turning; the heater elements are around 60 ohms; the thermal cutout is short circuit; the thermostat (near the cutout) is short circuit; the sensor near where the air blows back into the drum is around 6Kohms. It difficult when you don't know what the readings should be!

Is there a humidity sensor somewhere that might be at fault? Any advice gratefully received.

Ah well, sorted it! One of the orange leads going to the sensor in the big black pipe that connects between the drum and the condensor had broken out of the IDC connector. I guess that's the humidity sensor?

The wire seemed a bit 'tight' from the cable tie in the loom, so I cut the tie and rerouted it slightly. Couldn't dismantle the connector properly so ended up breaking the top and soldering the wires and taping the top. Will have to see how that holds up, but it's heating up nicely now.
