Thought I'd ask here for advice/opinions.

I'm planning on painting two external doors in a colour similar to Chartwell green.

Doors are composites, but with wooden facings.
1 frame is wood and the other upvc.

Been reading up and thought about using Zinsser all coat satin for everything. Would this be a good idea?
or should I just use BIN or 1-2-3 (or something similar) and get separate paints for wood and one for upvc

**Just been shocked that 5L of all coat is £90:eek:

I used it on plastic soil stacks. 2 coats my ar** ! Took 5 coats to get proper coverage of satin white on a grey pipe.

Decent result in the end, just a lot of work!

On plastic pipes and meter boxes, I've had excellent results with a single, generous coat of oil-based non-drip gloss. No primer or undercoat.

you have to clean them thoroughly first, and there can be a weathered layer. Wire wool and white spirit are good for that.

Some of them are a bit dull after 17 years but there is no flaking or peeling.
