There's no point in only extinguishing half of the fire that's burning your home down.
It needs snuffing out, completely.
He's burning the house down, completely, it seems to me.

Alon Pinkas, former Israeli ambassador and consul general in New York, told Al Jazeera that the overnight strikes ordered by Netanyahu were purely “about survival politics” for the prime minister, intended to distract “from the dismissal of the head of Shabak [Shin Bet]”. The strikes had “zero military significance [and] no political end”, he added.

What I found interesting, is that Jesus has an important role as a prophet in the Islamic scriptures.

Whereas in Judaism, he is seen just as a normal man.
I have a problem with the modern interpretation of the Trinity where it's combined into the person of Jesus, since Himself never claimed to be God but the "Son of Man" - calling him 'Christ' is simply recognising the Greek term of 'Messiah' given to him by Peter. The problems arise from the gnomic way he responded to questions, saying "I existed before Abraham" and suchlike. He simply couldn't write it all out in simple words to avoid confusion. That would be too easy. To attain such Gnosis, one must struggle within to perceive the totality of it all.

Tens of thousands of Israelis have protested against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this week, calling for him to resign. They are angry at what they see as Netanyahu’s attempts to stay in power at any cost, after he decided to resume the bombing of Gaza last Tuesday, even as Israeli captives remain in the Palestinian enclave. The ceasefire that Netanyahu broke would have eventually seen the release of all the captives, but he was unwilling to move forward to end the war on Gaza, as the deal had stipulated. Al Jazzeera

Because Hamas rejected the Israeli proposal to extend the first phase. Gaza’s Ministry of Health said on Sunday that at least 50,021 Palestinians have been killed and 113,274 wounded since Israel began attacking the besieged territory

There will be no peace without justice.

I don't need to look back at any silly posts, I am asking for the history lesson to point out where I am wrong.I have studied this for years and a large part of my University studies was on this very subject. `so please the History lesson, you may start at any point that you want. I will point you in the direction of facts if I find this lesson wrong in any way. A good starting point I always find is from the very begining, but I am familiar with all periods, so I will leave the choice to you.
Which came first, your stint in the forces or your stint at Uni?
You also claim to be an Egyptologist too, I understand...?

Can anyone else smell it....

I don't think anyone should be pressured to give out that level of information.

It is far from unusual to have a degree and have served in the forces. I know of people who have done it both ways around. There is financial assistance. I even know of somebody who studied at university whilst in the army.

Aren't they all 'amateurs'? Surely it's a voluntary or sponsored academic study?

You made the claim boyo, keep yer knickers on.

"...I have been an amateur Egyptologist from being a young child. My father was obsessed by them and this rubbed off. on me. I love anything to do with archeology and `egypt...."

No an amateur is someone who does it for a hobby, an Egyptologist is a paid position

You'd have thought that the Palestinians would be protesting about their 'government' for bringing such hardship on them.
I wonder why they don't.

Asking which he did first is hardly asking to bear your soul, now is it.
Absoutely stupid question, Which came first? Take the time to actually read my post before sticking your boot in. I said from being a young child so what would you think came first? Do you think I joined the Army or went to Uni as a young child? For god sake.

It is a very common occurance now, and you also get sponsored from the army to go to Uni as an under graduate for officer training before serving. Also during service and after as either part of a rehabilitation or as part of an enhanced learning program.

They are rare but protests against Hamas do happen...

...Fact check your source before you get trigger-happy, though.

Hamas thrive because Gazans do not trust the PA to consider their interests before 'collaborating' with the Israeli government. Get rid of them and install a pliant government body to Israel's interests and that's not likely to change.
The two-state solution is a dead-end in the proposed road-map of the 90s. A free Palestine is now the best option.
