Hope someone can help - have had my trusty machine for 10 years now and it has served me well.

Have noticed that its very noisy when spinning since we moved house. In fact today when it had finished a load I noticed a chalky substance on the washing while unloading and the drum seemed very loose and did not rotate smoothly.

Is this something minor that I can fix myself or is it time to say goodbye to my old friend?

Would appreciate any advice.

If you hear a grating sound while rotating the drum then I,m afraid it,s time to say goodbye to your trusty old friend as this repair which would be at least a bearing change which is not an easy diy job would make a ten year old machine uneconomical to repair

Oh dear, I was afraid you might say something along those lines.

Thanks anyway, appreciate the advice.
