There was lots of weird stuff on in early 70s.... ... The Clangers...
Remember the spoof version with Margaret Thatcher as the soup dragon?

Magic Roundabout
...and then there was the Jasper Carrott version...

But you missed off Captain Pugwash and Noggin the Nog.

Whilst you didn't need to be bombed out of your skull to watch these as an adult it certainly helped (or so I am reliably informed).

I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when my mum rented a colour tv from Coop Electrical. It was a Bush. No remote control back then but oh joy watching football and snooker in colour!

My grandad got a colour TV first, and I remember watching the 1974 FA Cup Final. After that it seemed ages until we got one, but it must only have been a few months, because Dad finally got it for the Ali Foreman Rumble in the Jungle, so that would be October 1974.

Ah, but qlwhich version of Andy Pandy? In the one I remember you could see thr strings. Flobabbadop?

I've only ever seen it in B&W, but I think it must be the 1970 version. The only thing I can really remember is when Looby Loo eats biscuits in bed and is really uncomfortable because of all the crumbs. That must have stuck in my mind as something not to do.
