Tents ⛺️

Let's hope his ex didn't find out, and try to get a second helping (y)
She got everything last time round and it was a full and final settlement with no future claims from either side apparently, but that may just be hearsay.

There used to be a guy who lived in a tent among the undergrowth of a large roundabout running under the A14 in BSE. He had been there for over 5 years, kept himself to himself, did farm work during the spring and summer, which earned him some money and was usually fed and watered by the farmers. When the season came to an end, the money he had earned helped to see him through the winter. He even had mail delivered to his tent as the area has a postcode!
About 2 years ago someone did a piece on him in a local paper. A businessman in the area read it, went and had a chat with him, discovered he was an engineer by trade but had fallen on hard times after a messy divorce. He offered him a probationary job over the winter and, if he was as good as his certificates said he should be, he would keep him on. He is now team leader for a farming equipment supplier dealing with huge farming machinery throughout East Anglia.

Great story!

How about adopt a refugee ?? For all those in favour of putting an increasing burden on the UK
?

Nah it’s always some one else’s problem :ROFLMAO:

How about those in favour paying more tax voluntarily ?? Nah not there problem :ROFLMAO:

Ask not what your country can do for you ask what you can do for your country

So step up to the plate and stop whinging about what some one else should do ;)

Basically when it boils down to it the majority of those whinging about it do f all and are sll
P*** and wind :ROFLMAO:

Will all this disappear if Labour get in then?
A bit, not enough.

37 years of Tory govt in the last 50

UK has massive unequal wealth distribution….last 13 years of Tory’s has made it much worse

Sadly our weak FPTP parliamentary system prevents any party from winning that can make transformative change.

The most advanced Western economies with least inequality have forms of PR

Wealth inequality is a structural failure, it can’t be solved by individuals

This country has a weak political system which allows wealth to influence policy for self interest.

Has always been so (?)

And always will be

It just becomes a question of to what extent ?

The UK FPTP system makes it easy for one party to gain power.
There's no negotiation required, they can implement all their policies without discussion, that makes it easy to excacerbate inequlity.
If you meant a PR system is better, I fully agree with you, and yes, PR democarcies are far more stable.

What a load of ******, when was the Spanish election and are they any further on with forming a government.
Italy country scratching around to form a government. PR form weak governments in democracies.
The tories with an 80 seat majority could have gone down the path of their own choosing (with in the limits of what world organisations will let you) but tied themselves in knots over Brexit and as they say, the rest is history

And the FPTP we've enjoyed has produced such a strong and stable Tory government this last 13 years - unlucky for us! We've had two impressions of Maggie T. and a Churchill tribute act. Have the Tories nothing original left to say?

Probably the best (or least worse)Tory government we had recently was with the LibDems.

When politicians have to take into account views of others they generally produce a better result for many rather than the few.

We suffered badly because of the 80 seat majority.

I thought you were not a supporter of any political party

You sound like a true Labourite - getting your excuses ready for when they do **** all. "Look at what we've inherited, 13 years of Tory Mis management". Never hint of that in their manifesto do they? Always "We will do this, we will do that" blah blah swerve!

It’s none of those.

The political system in this country is too weak and the media too powerful.

Political policy is driven by lobbyists

it’s true for Conservative and Labour

have a look at the major backers for Labour: John Armitage, Dale Vince, Lors Sainsbury, Trevor Chinn, Martin Taylor etc

In any case FPTP means Labour can only win power by attracting swing voters, which means little change because voters are gaslighted by a right wing media.

You sound like a true Brexer - getting your excuses ready for when it does worse than **** all. "Look at what we've inherited, decades of EU MIS management and corruption" . Never hint of that in their bullshoite do they? Always "We will do this, we will do that, it'll take time" blah blah swerve!

;)
