Flue gas analyser cailbration.

I bought all our testo's from JMW, good company.
I presume they weren't the seller of the dodgy sprint.

You are correct, I've edited my post to make it little clearer.

It was eBay.

I'm in a dispute with the seller at the moment, but it's not getting me very far!

Apart from making your feelings known to the seller I thought your only recourse was to leave negative feedback?

I note you have not given us the item number!

If you buy a second hand tool privately, you pays your money you takes your chances.
If it was from a company, the T&C will tell you your rights.

FGA.S dont have co2 sensors, sure its not the o2 sensor that needs changing.

i looked for one one ebay.
ebay for analiser, u must add £250 maybe more on the sale price, to get it
fixed . sensers ,pump, battery could all be all shot.
i decided to get new unit of ges, v2 expensive but professionaly i cant mess about ,its critical piece of kit.

Quick bump.

Can I buy the O2 sensor myself?

I'm thinking it would be cheaper to buy and fit myself.

but without a machine how will you calibrate the sensor?

dont think there is a short cut

:)

:)

Sensor is £69 cailbration is £59.

It needs calibrating anyway and the sensor is easy to replace.

Was thinking it would be cheaper to replace myself.

but how do you check the senor you have brought is working?

I have no idea how these things work but I do know that you need to show its been calibrated correctly should (god forbid) a job heads south

Sorry I thought I was being clear.

The unit would need Cailbrating after the sensor was fitted.

would have thought the new sensor would need to be checked yes

so new sensor would need calibrating

:)

By law, do you have to be gas safe to use gas analysers?

I'm mean TO USE THE ANALYSER not to touch or adjust the appliance.

To make my question clear, we are talking about gas and oil.

To use an FGA the operator should know what the readings mean , anyone using an FGA has to be familiair with,

CO2max
Calculating excess air from 02 measured.
Calculating CO ppm against CO2% (ratio)

This is the difference between looking @ the figures against knowing what they actually mean.
