How? Drayton RF1 wireless thermostat to replace a wired one.

I had all the connections right and it still doesn't work so I rang Drayton helpline and they have confirmed that it's probably faulty. So all that confusion because the thing never worked in the first place.
Learned a lot in the process and thanks for all your advice.
Maybe one day I will be able to help someone on the forum - I know lots about radiation stuff in anyone ever wants to know.
