Same as me then, apart that I wouldn't go back. Always doing the same thing in the same place is too boring, and on top of that there are now thousands that can do the job on those dialogue machines, so there is no money in it.

Wan*er

True though I admit it

I used to be...

.....a lumberjack.

Leaping from tree to tree,
as they float down the mighty rivers of British Columbia.
The Giant Redwood.
The Larch.
The Fir!
The mighty Scots Pine!

Yep, pornstar! I could have got paid for doing all the things I've loved doing over the years, instead of getting paid for all the things I didn't like doing.

I used to be...

.....a lumberjack!

But I never wanted to be a lumberjack. I hated it.

The noise, the people! I hated going to the unspoiled wilderness every day to destroy it. It was so cold.

And it was sooo dangerous. If you weren’t crushed by a falling tree or ripped apart by a chain saw, you could freeze to death or be eaten by the grizzly bears. But I had a dream.

I always nurtured a secret ambition of returning to the Mother Country, the land of my fathers, and becoming...
..a Plumber ..

....in Barking......

....where I would be truly appreciated for my sensitive nature, for my manual dexterity and my encyclopaedic technical knowledge by
the buy-to-let landlords of Beckton, the illegally sub-letting council tenants of Romford, the arrogant nouveau-riche of Chigwell and
the unmarried teenage mums of Dagenham.

And with my gormless, spotty apprentice at my side, we’d cruise the Essex suburbia and we’d sing, sing, sing....

I’m a plumber and I’m alright,
I unblock bogs and I solder pipes.

I look down peoples’ manholes,
at sweet corn they ate for tea,
their tampons and used condoms.
It’s all meat and drink to me.

He’s a plumber and he’s alright,
He unblocks bogs and he solders pipe.

You can blame me for your rusty rads,
stained carpets, walls and floors,
And your minging, ancient combi,
“It worked alright before!”

I’m a plumber and I’m okay,
I’m on-call all night and I work all day.

I’m stalked by Matthew Allwright,
he thinks I’ve ripped off some old man.
And thieving ****** bar stewards,
Who break into my van.

He’s a plumber and he’s okay,
He’s on-call all night and he works all day.

I work in confined spaces,
on my belly, knees or back.
When I work under the kitchen sink,
you can watch my hairy crack.

He’s a plumber and he’s alright,
He unblocks bogs and he solders pipe.

Nah.
On second thoughts, it’s a mugs’ game. I’m going back to Canada. I’ll take my chances with the grizzlies. Do Ryanair fly to Vancouver?
