Cable finder

Hey guys,

I'm on the market for a good cable detector, to check cables behind walls etc.

The one I have is quite basic and and has a limited range. It certainly doesn't give me peace of mind.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I have one and find it better than any other model I've used though admittedly other models were cheaper.

I have one, think its black and decker. Its ok for interior stud partitions and plastered walls but fails on my ceiling and outside walls. Due to the vapor check plaster board i suspect because it has a foil backing. Is this true for all the detectors on the market.

Not to bad i guess,
what about an infrared version anybody used one of those ?
