Just been cleaning down a site after finishing a loft conversion and was cleaning the 1st floor windows, noticed that my plumber had covered one of the window cills with grinder sparks(now gone rusty), must have been whilst he was cutting the soil stack.
Now most of it came off with some elbow grease and a green scourer, a very fine layer(barely visible) is still there, where the sparks have melted ever so slightly into the cill (the pits can barely be felt).

Now the lady of the house has noticed is there anything I can use to try and polish it out, she isn't overly worried but I would like if possible to sort it as they are a lovely couple and they want me to price their extension to do at the start of the summer
, so don't mind going the extra mile for them.

If they are deep can you cover it with another UPVC strip?

if you are struggling to remove them, with your t cut use the three finest grades of wet and dry the last grade is like brown paper but this will cut out the discoloration and level out the small indentations use a block or you will leave finger marks. to finish and bring back the surface use water with the final two grades then use car polish mer is a good one to use
we use in the trade different methods to correct this problem but believe me this will do the trick for you.

need to get my glasses checked could of sworn it was 2006

you have just confirmed I am loosing the plot

but the advise is still current.

cheers lads the pitts are not deep at all its just the slight discolouration, will give the t-cut a go first then if that fails will go with the grades of wet and dry.

cheers
