I’ve had the stairway re-plastered in the house as part of some pretty major building renovations. The plastered has done a good job but having decorated the new plaster and the original stringers (completed about 2 months back) I’m getting a lot of cracking in the paint where the wall meets the stringers.
I finished the gap with caulk before decorating and although the caulk is sound the paint on top is what has cracked, presumably due to movement of the stair case. Should I just re caulk with white and live with it getting a bit grubby or can anyone suggest a way to get a more professional finish?
Thanks,
TC.
