Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Good grief.

When it comes to a pint its got to be $tella. Tastes like p**s but its price reassures me.

Yeah, I was talking to an old fella once, he laughed at Stella being expensive, as he claimed that in years gone by, you wouldn't dangle your doodah in it.

This is all because (probably) we don't get the real product over here, just "brewed under licence" stuff made by breweries prepared to prostitute themselves.

It tastes like it does precisely because someone has dangled their doodah in it...

If you know Russ's views about consumer units, you'll know that in the past he ahs advised customers to steer clear of Residual Current Device circuit breakers (RCDs) often fitted to them, as he felt that most of them compressed the dynamics. However, the new 17th Edition of the IEE wiring regulations now stipulate that hey must be fitted in a new installation.

In light of this, Russ has recently tested a quantity of the most modern, up-to-date consumer units fitted with RCDs. He found that their performance is now comparable to the older units without RCDs - he assumes it's becuase the design has been changed to make RCDs even safer, with the benefit of sounding better in a Hi-Fi installation. Of the units he tested, he's selected the very best performing one and we're offering it here fitted with the correct RCD and MCB circuit breaker for a single Hi-Fi or Home Cinema circuit, fully treating the contacts with DeoxIT for better performance.

Now that is lucky.

According to the site they dip them in liquid nitrogen. Not sure how that works.
Of course it works.

Why else would people pay nearly £20 for a socket?

The fact that they do proves that it works.

You know nothing.

From a technical point of view I cannot see how it works.

Why they would they pay £20 for a socket? Because they are idiots with no technical background? Same with the one way speaker cable, oxygen free for £89 a meter. Now how does one way speaker cable work :P

Here's a guy who bought some "special" 13A BS1362 fuses for £14.63/pack 5...

He said:

"Fitted them at the weekend and can't believe the difference! Its almost as if I've upgraded the whole power cables once again. The detail is a lot clearer and there is more punch to the bass, despite only listening at low volumes.

Spent last night just playing old cds just to hear the difference!"

His name?

Mr N Sheepwash, Kent

He obviously treated them with sheepwash, TTC!!

There's no point - they aren't selling these products, and saying all these things on their website because they believe it all - they are doing it because they have found that other people will believe them and they can make a great deal of money exploiting these people's stupidity.

They are liars, cheats and thieves.

If you've got a few idle moments over Xmas, and need a good laugh, read the "Myths" threads here: http://forum.hifichoice.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=1[/QUOTE]

Ha, I can't believe someone get in enough of a flap to go to the ASA. It's a take-it-or-leave-it product for a market thats subjective and often obsessive by nature.

I've heard a £50,000 "record player" - turntable, amps and speakers, and of course, the all-important premium leads - and it sounded mesmerising. Others will shrug and say there's no difference between it and a £50 argos midi system, or, more likely, that the difference simply isn't important enough for them to distinguish.

But Rule Nº1 of hifi lore is this: Listen to it, and stop spending when you can't tell the difference. Most hifi dealers respect this and will allow you to listen to a demo of whatever components you choose, so only a fool can claim to be disappointed in a product.

Reminds me of the wine anaology again (sorry) When blindfolded many seasoned wine drinkers struggle to taste the difference between ........ What would you think Cabernet Sauvingnon and Merlot ...... Well it was actually Red / White

£50,000 record player, I'd love to see the look on the guys face when you do some scratching on it
