I've moved into a house where the attic has been converted badly and they've not put any insulation in before they plastered. Am wondering if it is possible for me to somehow insulate without taking down the plaster boards. Is it possible to drill a hole and use some sort of loose fill or am I going to have to gut the place and start again?

Any ideas welcome and greatly appreciated.

Sounds like they did it without permission!

Can you get behind the upright timber stud wall :?:

you could retrospectively insulate but it would mean either losing space or a large upheaval.

you will also need part L reg's.

Unfortunately I can't get behind any of the walls.
I don't know your loft layout but is it possible to put in a small frame and a small door approx 600mm x 600mm, I have 3 doors so I can get in the loft area, once in there, you should be able to slide 50mm insulation slabs between the rafters
