I am updating my Boiler to a Vaillant 937.

I need to fit a programmable thermostat as I don't currently have one - is it best to fit a Vaillant thermostat like VRT 360? - wireless would be most convenient I guess but seems to be an extra £45...

I am also fitting TRVs throughout.

Any other suggestions or advice appreciated!

Thanks

One expensive piece of poorly specced kit for such a poor performance.

buy a wireless siemans room stat, they are good and 1 of the cheapest. all u need is your permant live and stat connections from boiler to your tansmiter, then comissioning your receiver to transmitter which is straight forward.

Do they do a stat/programmer as well?

yea i think so, siemans made in china far cheaper than most things, speaking to a rep of horsemann products you just cant compete against their prices,

The Vaillant controls seem to do some Vaillant specific stuff - I'm tempted by them...

What about the VRC 430 - is it worth the extra?

WARNING

If you want to take the advice of someone who is incompetent, unqualified and has never fitted a boiler or unvented cylinder in his life, then go ahead.

All his information is obtained from brochures and the internet, where in both mediums, manufacturers are always going to paint their products in a good light. Just search his previous, outrageous posts on here and then see for yourself. The only posters that appear to agree with him are those that are him using a different 'alias' and talking to himself

You are still the laughing stock of this forum

Right warning over.

The 430 is the better option as long as you have a north wall to fix the outside sensor to.

It will control more than you will need in everyday use and is slightly cheaper than the 360 ;)

AND it has a pretty blue backlight

Thanks...

I totally agree.

As we always say on here BB, the only ones to agree with you are yourself and your other alias's.
