I dont want to argue, its just my opinion, but you could continue to post "categories" and i will fit them in somewhere. This would obvioulsy achieve nothing, but my whole point is the more choice you offer the more likely a question will be in the wrong forum, and the mods have enough trouble as it is.
did you not also say
I know there is a risk of either duplication, or people not knowing where to post things, as other fora overlap, e.g. electrics, plumbing, appliances, flooring, but with a prominent warning at the top to use another specific forum if your question is specific to another subject, and more work for the mods in moving things around (ha ha) it could work.
As i also said, people do not read what is infront of them, so there will be a less than slim chance they will get the right forum the first time, and as you ponted out its more work for the mods which they have trouble keeping up with as it is.
I also note since you intialy asked the question, admin has posted several times elsewhere, but never commented here. I wonder is it admin don't want another forum or some other reason
