Please help with light

Good afternoon, I just bought a new light but the instructions aren't very clear. I'm replacing a rose and the new light has terminals for live, neutral and earth. There are 6 wires coming down, black, red and green and yellow. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks. G

If you have 3 RED then these all need to be connected together, choc block.

One of the blacks should have been sleeved red, if not it is the black that was parked in the L terminals.

This should now be sleeved with brown and connected to your new L terminal on the fitting.

The other 2 blacks need connecting to the N terminal.

The green/yellow are the earths and need connecting to the earth

Okay, the 2 REDS need connecting together in a chocblock.

One of the blacks in your Switched Live (it would have been in the L terminals on the rose) this goes to L on your new fitting.

The other black goes to N on the new fitting.

Both green/yellows are earth and should be connected to the earth.

yours won't have the "supply to next light" though..
