heating works fine, but when you turn on dhw nothing, does this sound like flow switch or diverter valve to anyone?

Im having same problem with heatline, previously stopped creating hot water, and day later the dhw sensor light came on and I got hot water again (fell back onto CH sensor im told). Now dhw light has stopped flashing and gone back to having no hot water!! I need some real help here!!

there is one red light on, i don`t have the instructions so don`t know what this means. The red light doesnt change regardless of if you run the tap or not

how much more help do you need? you were told it was the dhw ntc weeks ago!!! my guess is you are too cheap to pay someone to come and fix it

I was also told by a "Plumber" it was the flow sensor, who charged me £70 to then tell me they cant provide the part, and as my hot water was then working and the dhw sensor has stopped flashing to say it was faulty, im a little bit concerned about paying another fee for another misdiagnosis, and as for the cheap jibe, I only got payed yesterday and dont have ££££££££££££££££££ to throw around chasing problems, but thanks for the positive input/guessing, seems my first plumber wasnt the only one who liked to chance a guess or two

The answer is very simple: engage a plumber on a no-cure, no-pay basis.
There are plenty of good guys who are more than happy to do that.
These of course, are not the cheapest, nor will they come out free and for nothing to tell you what the problems is, without getting paid for the repair.

What do you think is the reason that people are willing to come out for a "free quote"?

Another problem you have is the boiler itself; I have never seen one with a completed benchmark sheet, unless may one that was clearly forged.

It seems that heatlines are invariably installed illegally by complete cowboys, and as they say: you get what you pay for

thanks, I did use a national company before who I happily paid to come and diagnose the problem, but as stated last time they clearly got it wrong and i ended up out of pocket and with no correct diagnosis from the company I used. I did ask before if anyone could help with a decent contact for the Northants area and I was told to call heatline, have been doing this but their service number is about as useful as a disco dancing goldfish and far less amusing! If anyone knows of anyone in area please shout up, if not then back to pulling names out of the yellow pages and keeping my fingers crossed.

sorry I cant help you any more unless you want to pay for me to come down and fix it for you?

btw Northamptonshire has a area of 2,364 km²(from the wiki)...may take me a while to find you...

I understand your frustration with the phone line thought. heatline was taken over by valliant and it has be come clear to me that they are unless at managing stuff...

if you lived local to me i would offer you no fix no fee and with a fix labour cost of £85 plus parts. lucky for me a lot of people dont know how to fix boiler

As mehran is a service agent for Heatline, I can only recommend you follow his advice.

Obviously none of us on here can guarantee our remote diagnosis is 100% without being in front of the boiler, but I for one would accept his advice willingly
