what intrigued me was a previous answer Motorbyke, is that a bent car? :P :P

If that was my post that intrigued you Wotan, perhaps I can explain. I may be wrong, but I think that if a motorcyclist who is going at speed has to brake suddenly, he can lose part of the tread from his rear tyre. The resulting bald patch, I read somewhere, is referred to as a 'gumball' the word I responded to.

My query was the spelling of motorbyke as opposed to motorbike...byke as in *yke?
 
I ignored Marquis de sade as I dont see it links with olive anyway and also its not one word :)

It was me who spelt motorbyke,obviously two ways of spelling it.
