Spoke to Vaillant technical a couple of weeks ago to find out more info on replacement water valve for a VCW GB 242EH, see //www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=177230

I ordered the part vaillant said I would need however when I looked at the part it is very similar apart from an additional copper tube connection on the right hand side of it.

Does anybody know where I could find an official parts list for this boiler?

The water valve isn't listed in the MI's, was hoping to find out a little more info before I ring Vaillant tech in the morning.

Thanks
Vinny

If note down the Gas Council Number along with serial number and model and go to Parts Center they should be able to help ensure you have a gas safe registered card as I.D.

That is the bit you need the little copper pipe you are on about is attached to cold waterexpansion vessel which is no longer req. so new water sections dont have that connection

so where does this copper tube for the cold water expansion connect to then?

I'll struggle to go to parts centre and produce a gassafe card, only passed my ACS on thurs, awaiting cert from NIC before I can apply to GasSafe.
