Don't know whether you saw my edit to the last post above.
Is that result with a wire still connected to terminal 2 or with it moved across to terminal 1?
I'm hoping the swap of the wire in terminal 2 over into terminal 1 will help the situation.
Have just done that. Will let you know if rads cool. Once cool I will turn the heating back on and let you know the outcome.
