Does any one know a contact phone number for Electrafix, ( part of scewfix) I have no luck with the Internet.

You'll need to be a registered electrician to get an account with them.
Just be warned. I used them once and it took them 2 and a half days to deliver to site and even then the order wasn't complete!!
Is there something wrong with the money of non-registered electricians?
Better than TLC then...
They cut their own throat then with that stance. What about us Maintenance Electricians who spend a fortune on materials who have no requirement to be registered.
(and I'd be quite happy to go head to head in a knowledge and practical skills test with some of the registered rubbish I've seen)

As long as someone is in the trade and tell them that electrafix is happy to play ball...
I'm not registered with a scheme in my own right, but I sometimes do bits and pieces for friends and family, I just told them who I was employed by and they were happy enough

Oh well - it's a free country, but if I were a shareholder of B&Q I'd be asking why the company had a policy of turning away legal business.
The company that owns ScrewFix and B&Q (and also Castorama in France, and some others) is Kingfisher plc. So when you buy from SFX, your aren't buying from B&Q (phew!).
As a company ScrewFix has a number of operations that sell to defined groups of customers and offer better pricing (on some products) and sometimes only provide these prices for bulk buys.
The first of these was PlumbFix (you can guess what this does!) and this was a sucessful SFX offshoot selling only to the Corgi/Gas Safe community.
ScrewFix this year set up a similar offshoot for electricians that meet certain criterea.
I have used ElectrcFix a very few times and its not at all as slick as ScrewFix. IMHO.
Firstly, there's no web shopfront so you have to crawl thru the paper catalogue and then place the order by telephone. Many of the part numbers are the same as ScrewFix but for the price difference you may as well do a SFX order.
The biggest hasssle I have had is that when they ship the order there is no VAT invoice with the delivery. Only a delivery note.
On shipment they send an email that says that the invoice is attached, but it isnt. I have moaned and screamed at them for several months as I am missing about seven invoices, but they can't seem to even post copies to me.
Overall, it has been a waste of time for me and the slightly lower prices are outweighed by the hassle factor.
This has even led me away from using Screwfix as much as I used to.

Used Electrix fix once, and like oharaf took ages to deliver and were then missing part of the order......thanks but no thanks..... never had any probs with Screwfix.

Ignoring the goof there that Part P is not a qualification, they certainly never asked me for anything and I'm not, and never have been, a member of the NICEIC, NAPIT, or any of the other bodies.
I was just issued with an account number automatically without even asking for one, I can only assume because I've been a Screwfix customer for years with an established history of buying a lot of electrical equipment from them.
