What sort of things do you find.

Had too move a bed, to check a storage heater, under it was about 100 dirty plates stacked up, too lazy to take them downstairs, was disgusting.

Years ago, had to change a socket in a kids bedroom I suppose he was at school, the mother helped me move the bed, underneath was a stash of porno mags.

Never ceases to amaze me how customers expect tradesmen to work in filthy areas. Had to install a bathroom for someone once - they asked me to empty the towels and soaps etc first. Refused outright!

A mate of mine told me many years ago that he found a rubber dildo under a 70 year old woman's bed

We pulled the carpet back in a re-wire once and found a clean £20 sitting there.

It was obvious the old fart who owned the house had put it there after watching a documentary (I recon).

We put it back as we put the carpet back down, and stapled it in place

Found loads of porn, I think thats a matter of course - usually in the loft! I bet the missus never knew!

Found a dead cat a few years ago under the suspended ground floor - owners had thought it was the smell of the rats they where trying to get rid of.

One old dear had loads of gold and silver bullion in her house - I had never seen it before, the bars like you see on the telly - but so many different sizes. She was barking.

Found hundreds of biro lids in a false ceiling of an office - The office staff had noticed them going missing. Assume mice or rats?

Also went to change a flood light in a barn on a farm. I had fitted it years before. When I got up to it, I found my long lost side cutters on the beam adjacent to it! Rather rusted and useless.

Had that happen lots of times, sometimes quite handy if you can't be arsed going back to the van.

Hope you now carry glue, for the next time.

I found an old newspaper under a carpet once that was dated the same day as the actual date it was. (1 in 365 chance !)

Should have changed it for 3 fivers and 5 one pound coins.

A friend who valeted cars found used nappies in the boot of a car driven by a famous sports person almost everytime it came in for service or bodywork repairs.

I've done quite a few let properties and messy home owners.

Under beds

Used condoms
Dark (used) tampex- dried up and looking nasty
Crusty hankies
Porn- with paper mache' pages
Batteries- I wonder what they were in ?

Behind wardrobes

Crusty hankies
Sweet wrappers
porn

I'm not too bothered about that sort of thing- my pet hate is dirty kitchens.

Pulling out fridges and finding mice poo, cockroaches, cheesy bugs even meal worms.

This morning I changed an extractor fan in a kitchen and the f.spur was in a cupboard, as were 4 x mice.
Managed to use a pint glass and collect the little buggers- they went for a swimming lesson in the wc :D

A coleague of mine was fitting an extra socket in a bedroom for a lady, and needed to move a chest of drawers to lift part of the floor. He asked the lady for assistance with moving the drawers.

They opened the top drawer to get somewhere to lift them by. In the drawer were some 'personal items'. She turned a rather bright shade of red, and pretended they were not there

How's this for a dirty kitchen I got called to:
