hi bit of advise needed please , my boiler is firing up , the pilot light is on but the raditors are stone cold

Its best to tell us what system you have, but initially it sounds like your circulating pump isn't running.

its a glowwarm ultimate about 12 year old and thinking about it i dont think it is firing up as i dont get that whooshing sound wen i turn the dial on the thermostat i did think about the pump bacause everynow and then i bangs really loud ,

Debbi, I think these had a permanent pilot light, thats on all of the time.....can you see if thats lit, through a spy hole?

yes it is my hubby managed to get hold of a plumber friend and he also says its the pump so hes picking one up and coming to install it later i just hope i managed to describe it correctly for him to pick the right one up its a bit hard wen you havnt a clue what your looking at so big thanks 1st time on the site very impressed cheers deb x

The Balanced flue version has a prem. pilot light. The Fan flued does not.

A new pump may be needed (well, you already know that). If its the fan flued, your o/heat should have tripped.

we was all wrong it was a valve !!!!! just cant get anyone in to fix it till mon brrrrrrrrr
