Is there any restriction as to how high you can locate a cooker outlet socket?

I ask because it will be located behind an eye level oven and so about 1.5 metres above the floor.

That'll be fine.

What is the rating of the circuit, and what, if anything, do the oven manufacturers say about the rating it should be?

Thanks for your prompt reply.

The manufacturer states a 16 amp fuse. The oven is rated as 3.5 Kw max load. There will be a 20 amp double pole switch within 2 metres. The cable will be 2.5 mm with a run of approx 15 metres back to a 16amp MCB on the RCD end of the CU.

I wanted the outlet socket located high up so it can be accessed by removing the decor panel just above the oven if need be. Although an upper section of the back of the unit would probably have to be cut away to achieve this
